Passport to Success

This brochure describes the International Youth Foundation (IYF)’s Passport to Success® curriculum and how its life skills training is helping educational institutions, businesses, and governments bridge the gap between current employment opportunities and today’s young jobseekers.

This report presents findings on the current soft skills training landscape within the service sector. The report includes what basic soft skills competencies are required for a diverse group of entry-level employees with varying levels of education and experience; where gaps in those skills exist; what the soft skills marketplace is offering; and where opportunities for further training exist.

This report presents findings on the economic and social struggles facing the world’s youth and the key issues that need to be addressed to solve those challenges. Hilton Worldwide commissioned the report in recognition of the fact no fewer than 75 million young people are unemployed, which makes investing in youth is a critical development issue and a growth strategy for businesses. The report includes recommendations for the hospitality industry to ways to create career pathways for this emerging workforce while also meeting critical industry-wide hiring needs.
