This case study describes the challenges of youth unemployment in Palestine, details how IYF and partners are creating sustainable solutions, and explains how our program team innovated quickly during COVID-19 to deliver critical training using distanced-learning technology. 

International Youth Foundation programming in Mozambique centers on supporting youth-relevant institutions and systems to adaptively respond to young people’s needs. Our holistic, systems-based approach emphasizes development of leadership, technical, and life skills to equip youth to enter the workforce, create their own opportunities, and be agents of change in their communities.

<p>With support from the Mastercard Foundation, the International Youth Foundation partnered with INEP and IFPELAC between 2015 and 2021 to improve economic opportunities for young people in Mozambique. Via facilitates sustainable changes and refinements in the TVET systems so that services and offerings are more responsive to the needs of young people and industry.</p>

This report presents findings and outcomes from the Zangar initiative. Launched in 2015 with partner Chevron, this five-year, community-driven initiative equipped young men and women in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan with skills and support to find and keep jobs. The initiative had two key strategies: creating an environment supportive of youth learning and professional skill-building and expanding programming for life skills and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.
