Jania joined IYF in 2022 as Communications Manager. She is a strategic communicator with more than 20 years of experience designing and leading 360° communication initiatives for public institutions, international organizations, and media outlets across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Her work blends creativity, data-driven strategy, and a deep commitment to equity and inclusion. Since joining IYF, Jania has also contributed to advancing the organization’s global communications agenda, collaborating closely with program teams across regions to amplify impact and share learning.
Before IYF, she led communication, social, and digital marketing strategies for USAID programs in Mexico, working with civil society, government, and academia. She also coordinated nationwide initiatives to train over three thousand journalists on justice and human rights.
Jania holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) and has pursued studies in Public Policy, Investigative Journalism, Gender, and Transformational Leadership. She is passionate about building narratives that connect people, amplify youth voices, and drive systemic change.
