International Youth Foundation with support from Microsoft Launches Global Training Series to Equip TVET Institutions with AI Skills
[BALTIMORE] – The International Youth Foundation (IYF) announces the launch of the AI for TVET Training Series. This launch is a global effort to equip technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions with the knowledge and tools to responsibly and effectively integrate AI into their classrooms and operations.

Delivered in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, the webinars will help TVET administrators, educators, staff, and students gain practical skills and credentials using Microsoft 365 Copilot—from lesson planning and personalized learning to data-driven administration and career readiness.
Participants from around the world are already experiencing how the series fosters peer-to-peer learning, collaboration, innovation, and responsible AI learning.
“At Rise Networks, we are immensely excited about joining this initiative because it represents an opportunity to co-create the future of inclusive, ethical, and locally relevant artificial intelligence for emerging markets like Africa,” said Dr. Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, Founder of Rise Networks (Nigeria). “Being part of this work connects us to a global network of educators and innovators committed to using AI for social good.”
“Participating in the community represents an opportunity to strengthen institutional capacities in AI applied to technical training, share experiences with peer institutions, and access teacher training and certification strategies aligned with Microsoft standards,” said Daniel Quintana López, National Head of the IT and Business Administration Schools at SENATI (Peru). “It will also promote the development of new academic content and pilot projects that bring innovation to technical education.”
Through this new series, participants will explore AI Credentials designed specifically for the education sector. Topics range from foundational AI literacy and ethical use of generative AI to advanced prompt engineering, workflow automation, and personalized learning strategies.
This training initiative builds on IYF’s long-standing collaboration with Microsoft to advance youth employability and skills for the future of work. By expanding access to AI education and credentials for TVET institutions, the effort supports a more inclusive digital transformation in education—ensuring that young people everywhere can thrive in the AI economy.
“As AI reshapes industries and opportunities, it’s essential that educators and learners everywhere have the tools to participate fully,” said Christina Sass, President and CEO of IYF. “Through this global series, we’re empowering institutions to integrate AI responsibly and inclusively, preparing young people for meaningful, future-ready careers.”
“Access to high-quality training and resources will help prepare individuals and institutions to thrive in the digital economy,” said Naria Santa Lucia, General Manager, Microsoft Elevate. Through our global Microsoft Elevate commitment we are proud to partner with IYF to help TVET institutions unlock new opportunities for inclusive learning and career readiness to create new pathways for learners.
The series invites TVET educators and learners worldwide to join a growing movement to build equitable, AI-ready education systems.
